The Beacon School curriculum
School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum. It also includes PSHE, international studies, French, Spanish, Latin. The Middle School Diploma in Years 5 and 6 encourages participation in the broader curriculum and in the community. In Years 7 and 8 the school teaches the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate, which blends nine transferable learning skills with ISEB and National Curriculum subjects and/or senior school entrance curricula. The aim is to better prepare pupils for the demands of rapidly evolving academic and work environments. There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 4. Outdoor learning twice a week for one term in pre-prep, two afternoons per term for Years 3 and 4, and a Survival Day for Years 5 and 6.

Sport at The Beacon School

The Arts at The Beacon School
