The Loretto Junior School curriculum
School curriculum is a blend of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and the English National Curriculum. Enquiry skills are developed through cross-curricular topics for science, history and geography to P5. The curriculum also includes PSHE, philosophy, French, Latin. Each pupil may participate in over 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

The Arts at Loretto Junior School
Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and 80% take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Primary 3. Choir, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
